In 1887, English playwright William Rowley, acquired the building of the theater on the street Chaptal in Paris.

And named it in honor of the Gran-Guignol character puppet theater.

He himself began to stage plays that were rather unusual for that time.

The popularity of the theater was rapidly gaining momentum thanks to the talented artistic playwright William.

Two years later, William Rowley disappears without a trace from Paris, and in his place comes the young artistic director Dale Coleman.

And with his arrival, the repertoire of the Gran Guignall Theater began to resemble a terrible dream. The theater was turned into a house of horrors, about which bad rumors circulated in Paris.

The real star of the theater was Blanche Duale, nicknamed Sarah Birnard from the impasse Shaptal, for all their collaboration with the young Coleman in Paris,

lost more than 30 people.

And Gran-Guignol increasingly reminded us of the theater of two actors and 30 puppets ...
